About Rachel Bendayan

">Whether it is the fight against climate change, stricter gun control or more support to families, Rachel is fighting for the priorities of her constituents as the Member of Parliament for Outremont and Parliamentary Secretary for Small Business, Export Promotion and International Trade. Since the very beginning of the COVID-19 crisis, Rachel is hard at work supporting entrepreneurs across the country. Her daily exchanges with small business owners serve not only to advise them on how to access federal government supports but also to get their feedback on how these can be adjusted and improved to better respond to their needs and realities on the ground.

Rachel was first elected as the Member of Parliament for Outremont in a by-election in February 2019. For close to 10 years, Rachel practiced law at Norton Rose Fulbright in the fields of litigation and international arbitration, specializing in international trade law. While in private practice, Rachel also taught at the Université de Montréal's Faculty of Law. Mom to an active toddler and deeply engaged in her community, Rachel has a strong connection to the families she represents in the Montréal neighbourhoods of Outremont, Mile End, and Côte-des-Neiges.
